Beechcraft Baron G58 Specs, Interior, Cockpit and Price – Beechcraft Baron G58 is a twin-piston engine manufactured by Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC), a subsidiary of Textron Aviation. The first flight was made in June 1969 and began operating in 1970. This aircraft was first produced under the name Beechcraft Baron G55. However, in 2004 Raytheon upgraded the aircraft with an integrated glass cockpit along with the Garmin G1000 avionics suite. The aircraft's name was changed to Beechcraft Baron G58 in April 2005, and certified in December 2005. On June 21, 2010, the aircraft received certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). In July 2010, the Beechcraft Baron G58 became the first HBC aircraft approved for operation at London City Airport.

The Beechcraft Baron G58 aircraft is equipped with an ice and rain protection system, which includes an automatic pneumatic shoe ice eraser, a standard electro-thermal propeller de-ice system, and a standard propeller warning propeller and fuel vents. The Beechcraft Baron G58 cockpit is fully integrated with the Garmin 1000 avionics suite. The Garmin G1000 avionics suite includes a primary flight display (PFD), multi-function display (MFD), digital attitude heading reference system (AHRS) and air data computer (ADC) to provide attitude and air data information to the system. The cockpit has two 10.3 in high resolution liquid crystal (LCD) screens for displaying flight data, engine performance and graphical navigation. The GFC 700 autopilot system is installed in the cockpit to reduce pilot workload.

Other avionics installed on the Baron G58 aircraft include a global positioning system (GPS) sensor, transponder, engine control unit, GWX-68 color weather radar, Stormscope WX-500, distance measuring equipment (DME), traffic advisory system (TAS), and Class-B warning system and warning system (TAWS) to inform pilots of potential conflicts with obstacles and terrain. The aircraft is also equipped with a Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS), terrain warning database, GTX 33ES Mode-S transponder, GDU 104x Multifunction Multifunction Display, and GRC10 and GRT10 wireless remote control systems.

Cabin entrance and exit consists of double doors 1.1 m x 0.8 m for passenger entry, one-piece front door 0.93 m x 0.91 m for passenger exit, and two middle windows for some emergency exits. The cabin can accommodate pilots and five passengers with ample leg room for all passengers.

On May 20, 2008, Artur Przygoda from Poland awarded a contract to Hawker Beechcraft Corporation to supply the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA) Baron G58 aircraft. Deliveries were made in May 2009.
