e-Go Aircraft Specs

e-Go aircraft are designed by Giotto Castelli and are built using carbon fiber. The fuselage weighs around 12 kg and the main wing panel weighs around 20 kg. The main wing stays at zero angle when the plane is on the ground. The wing can be removed by moving a single lever on each side with an aileron control that connects and disconnects automatically. This includes the electrical system rather than the manual system.

The overall dimensions of the e-Go aircraft include a length of 3.79 m, a height of 1.8 m, a wingspan of 7.99 m, and a wingspan of 11.5 m². This aircraft has an empty weight of 139 kg and can carry a maximum mass of 270 kg. This requires a ground roll taking off more than 200 m, and a 150 m ground roll.

e-Go Aircraft Engine and Performance

e-Go aircraft are powered by a Rotron e-Go rotary engine which produces an output power of 30 hp at 6,500 rpm. It has a 30 liter fuel capacity with an option to increase tank capacity up to 40 liters. He uses unleaded mogas as fuel. Fuel consumption is 65 mpg at 166 km/ h.

e-Go aircraft can fly with aircraft cruising speed is 167 km/ h, speeds never exceed 222 km/ h, and kiosk speeds of 65 km/ h. The aircraft has a climbing rate of 900 ft / min (4.6 m/ s), a service ceiling of 10,000 ft (3,050 m), and a range of 610 km (330 nm).

e-Go Aircraft Cabin and Interior

The e-Go aircraft cabin can accommodate one passenger and pilot. The mass of pilots that can be accommodated ranges between 60 kg and 100 kg, and the mass of baggage up to 15 kg. Ventilation is provided by temperature controlled air ventilation and removes mist through slots in coaming. Storage space is provided for charts, snacks and luggage behind the seats. The cabin features a glider style canopy that allows entry and exit easily.

e-Go Aircraft Cockpit and Avionics

The e-Go aircraft is equipped with a complete glass cockpit integrated with Kanardia NESIS III's large screen electronic flight instrument system (EFIS). EFIS is connected to the data acquisition system and the Rotron Wankel rotary engine control unit (ECU) via the controller area network bus (CANbus). It also includes an 8.3 kHz radio, and an S transponder mode ADSB developed by Trig.

The avionics suite of e-Go aircraft includes engine monitoring, checklists and navigation systems. Also includes adjustable steering pedals and conventional controls for throttle, elevator, steering and aileron.
