TAI TF-X Stealth Fighter Specs, Cockpit, and Price – TAI TF-X is a stealth fighter that is being developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) for the Turkish Air Force. The full-scale mock-up of this aircraft is on display at the Paris Airshow held in June 2019. Fifth generation fighter jets will have superior stealth and attack capabilities.
TF-X will replace the existing F-16 fighter jet fleet in service with the Turkish Air Force and join the F-35 jet fighter fleet. It is expected to meet the nation's air combat requirements until 2070.
TF-X is primarily designed to serve the needs of air-to-air combat. Its sleek design and unique features will allow it to be used for air-to-surface roles as well.
The aircraft will offer a high level of situational alertness, sophisticated weapons systems, sensor fusion techniques and low observation capabilities. Capability that can be operated with other fighter jets such as the F-35A will make it suitable for joint operations.
Other features such as speech recognition, high-quality audio system, and synthetic vision will also be installed in the TF-X smart cockpit.
The aircraft will display an electronically scanned active radar array (AESA) provided by ASELSAN. AESA radar combined with stealth fuselage will ensure superior stealth capability.
