Daher TBM 900 Specs, Interior, Cockpit, and Price

Daher TBM 900 Specs, Interior, Cockpit, and Price – TBM 900 is a single turboprop engine business jet produced by Daher company in Tarbes, France. The aircraft was first launched in March 2014. The TBM 900 was modified based on the design of its predecessor, the TBM 850. This business aircraft presents the latest aerodynamic profile of the fuselage to improve aircraft performance. In addition, updates are also made to electrical systems to provide alternative electrical input in emergency.

Daher TBM 900 Specs

The Daher TBM 900 airframe is made of aluminum alloy, high strength steel and advanced composite materials, which maximize durability and structural strength while minimizing overall aircraft weight.

New carbon fiber winglets, vertical fin strakes and new tail cones are added to optimize aircraft aerodynamic profiles. Wing spars, track flaps, and windshield frames are made of solid aluminum rods.

The Daher TBM 900 propulsion system is equipped with five new blade propellers that are integrated with the aircraft's new inlet, which results in more thrust and increased take-off, climbing and cruising distances. The inner gear door reduces obstacles and helps deal with low speed and high angle attacks in a better way.

The sound level at takeoff is 76.4 decibels, of which three decibels are quieter than the previous TBM aircraft version. Therefore, aircraft meet the latest European and US noise standards in the quiet category.

It is also equipped with a fully modified electrical system with a 300A starter generator, as well as an additional 100A stand-by generator to provide alternative electrical input in an emergency.

Daher TBM 900 Engine

TBM 900 is powered by a single PT6A turboprop engine produced by Pratt & Whitney Canada. The engine has a thermodynamic rating of 1,825 hp with an average output of 850 hp. It was designed to provide low efficiency and operating costs, and easy maintenance. This jet has the highest cruise speed of 467km / h at 28,000 feet above sea level, a range of 1,730nm, and a climbing rate of 31,000 feet.
