Cessna Citation Sovereign Specs, Interior, Cockpit, and Price – The Cessna Citation Sovereign is a corporate intercontinental aircraft capable of carrying up to 12 passengers and two pilots at speeds of up to 848 km / h on service ceilings up to 14,326 m; usually the aircraft is equipped for nine passengers and only for two pilot operations.

The Sovereign Citation was first announced by the Cessna in October 1998 and a prototype made its first flight in February 2002. The Cessna Citation Sovereign is equipped with a series of dual Honeywell (FMS) flight management systems with a 20m × 25cm LCD screen integrated into a standard Epic system. It combines a dual GPS receiver, VOR-DME cross-reference and DME-DME for accurate positioning with vertical navigation and GPS approach capabilities.

The price of the latest Cessna Citation Sovereign is around US $ 18 Million. In November 2007, Cessna announced at the Dubai Air show that Smart Aviation, a charter business operator based in Cairo, Egypt, had ordered five Sovereign aircraft estimated to be worth more than $ 80 million. The five Sovereign aircraft in service and one in order and are expected to be delivered in 2010.
