Cessna Citation Latitude Specs, Interior, Cockpit, and Price

Cessna Citation Latitude Specs, Interior, Cockpit, and Price – Cessna Citation Latitude is a new lightweight business jet designed by Cessna. This is a low-wing aircraft with retractable tricycle landing gear and crossed tail. Cessna announced a new aircraft project at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Convention in October 2011. The aircraft made its presence in public at the annual NBAA Exhibition & Convention in October 2014. The first prototype made its first flight in February 2014.

Cessna Citation Latitude was first launched in January 2015 and the aircraft received certification from FAA in June 2015. The European Safety Safety Agency (EASA) certified Cessna Citation Latitude in February 2016. The aircraft is positioned between the Citation XLS + and the Sovereign Citation business jet and will cost around $ 14, 9 million.

Cessna Citation Latitude Specs

Cessna Citation Latitude brings schematic design. It was built from aluminum alloy, steel and other materials. It accommodates two pilots and between six and nine passengers. A sofa in the cabin adds an option to accommodate several additional passengers. The interior is designed to ensure the free and comfortable movement of passengers inside the aircraft.

The wing of the aircraft is slightly tilted at its tip to reduce aerodynamic resistance and provide a smooth landing and landing. The high internal wing volume provides room for integral fuel tanks.

Three electrically actuated fowler aluminum flap parts and five hydraulically driven spoiler parts on each wing are used for lift, drag and rotate control. The nose wheel accumulator, the landing gear pneumatic lowering bottle, and the emergency braking bottle are also integrated in the front compartment.

The overall length of the aircraft is 18.97m. The height and width are 6.38 m and 22.05 m respectively. The cabin length, width and height are 8.38 m, 1.95 m and 1.83 m respectively.

The Latitude aircraft consists of aluminum and 0.36 m shorter than the Citation Sovereign aircraft. This is a constant circular cross section attached to the wing without any spar pieces.

The cabin door is on the front left of the fuselage. The emergency exit is located in the toilet on the right side of the fuselage. The avionics compartment is located at the nose of the fuselage.

Cessna Citation Latitude Engine

The Cessna Citation Latitude aircraft is equipped with two Pratt & Whitney PW306D engines. The engine has a twin spool design with a wide chord fan that is resistant to damage. One centrifugal and four axial compressor is installed next to the fan to achieve a high level of efficiency and low emissions.

This is a turbo fan digital engine control (FADEC) engine full of authority that reduces the pilot's workload. Engine power helps planes take off from runways as small as 1,200 m. The maximum cruise speed of this aircraft is 819 km / h and the maximum range is 4,260 km. The take-off distance is 1,189m and the maximum operating height is 13,716m.

Cessna Citation Latitude Cockpit and Avionics

Cockpit of Cessna Citation Latitude is installed by the Garmin G5000 system. It features one of the advanced pilot vehicle interfaces with multi-display, touch screen, vehicle management system control unit. The G5000 has three 14in LCD screens and a multifunctional display and four touch screen control panels. The integrated flight director / autopilot and electronic flight instrument system (EFIS) are also included.

The standard feature of the new system is a touch screen interface between pilot and vehicle, traffic collision avoidance system (TCAS) II, synthetic vision technology and electronic graphics.

Garmin SVT-enabled synthetic vision technology pilot control interface provides hypothetical three-dimensional visual crews from runways, terrain, traffic and obstacles. The system is also equipped with a dual flight management system with LPV WAAS (wide area augmentation system with localiser performance with vertical guidance) and RNP (required navigation performance). It has a solid-state weather radar with turbulence detection and vertical scanning capabilities, plus integrated terrain and warning (TAWS) systems.

The four touch screen control panels are designed to offer a compact display of aircraft function icons, similar to those on a smartphone. Honeywell was contracted to provide high frequency radio, LASEREF VI inertial reference navigation system, digital cabin pressure control system and environmental monitoring and control system for Cessna Citation Latitude, in October 2012.

Cessna Citation Latitude Price and Orders

The price of the latest Cessna Citation Latitude is around US $ 16.6 Million.  NetJets signed a contract with Cessna Aircraft for 150 Cessna Citation Latitudes, including 25 firm orders and options for 125 aircraft.
