Bombardier CRJ1000 Specs, Engine, Interior, Cockpit, and Price – Bombardier CRJ1000 is the latest version of the CRJ regional jet family developed by Bombardier Aerospace. Bombardier CRJ1000 aircraft prototype completed its first flight on September 3, 2008. The aircraft flew from Bombardier's production center in Mirabel in Quebec, Canada, and reached a height of 30,000 feet and a speed of 480 km / h on a three and a half hour flight. In November 2010 Bombardier CRJ1000 received a type certification from the European Safety Agency and Transport Canada.

Bombardier CRJ1000 is marketed to meet the needs of regional airlines that are developing for jets of up to 100 seats, with environmentally friendly performance and with a special focus on low operating costs, greater fuel efficiency and increased passenger comfort. Compared to older aircraft with the same passenger capacity currently in operation, Bombardier CRJ1000 provides much lower fuel consumption and reaches a 30% reduction in carbon dioxide engine emissions.

Bombardier CRJ1000 has a wingspan of 26.17m and incorporates wingtips, small wings and optimized wing edges, to provide a lower lift-to-pull ratio and allows a lower speed of approach. The fuselage has a semi-monocoque design. The overall length is 39.15m. The aircraft is equipped with Menasco Aerospace three-wheeled landing gear that can be pulled.

Bombardier CRJ1000 is the latest version in the CRJ regional jet series. A total of 1,665 regional Bombardier CRJ regional jets were ordered, and 1,498 of them were sent. Bombardier CRJ1000 is offered as a new version or as a conversion from CRJ900.

Bombardier CRJ1000 aircraft are built in two versions, the standard version and the extended-range (ER) version. Carrying 100 passengers, Bombardier CRJ1000 has a range of 2,760 km and the extended range of Bombardier CRJ1000ER has a range of 3,130 km.

The new Bombardier CRJ1000 aircraft was powered by the General Electric CF34-8C5 engine family. Bombardier CRJ1000 is powered by GE CF34-8C5A1 or a new derivative engine version, A2.

GE CF34-85A2 has the same thrust rating (2 × 60.6kN) such as CF34-8C5 but is equipped with modified engine control software to provide a normal 5% higher takeoff boost, with a maximum takeoff drive of 3% higher for low altitude runway.

The new A2 engine is also equipped with high performance high pressure turbines, which provide increased durability and reduce maintenance costs. High pressure turbines combine modifications to the airfoil design, new airfoil layers and improved cooling systems.

The engine is installed on the rear side of the fuselage and is equipped with full authority digital engine control (FADEC). Engine nacelles are supplied by Bombardier Aerospace of Belfast.

The Intertechnique fuel management system is equipped with Ratier-Figeac controls. Additional Honeywell power units installed in the tailcone and electric power are provided by the Hamilton Standard electric generator, with two integrated drive generators that provide 40kVA.

Bombardier CRJ1000's main cabin interior was designed by C & D Interior, 27.6m in length, volume around 101m³ and can load up to between 100 and 104 passengers. Standard seating for 100 passengers in a four-way configuration. Other interior layouts include two-class interiors with mixed seat pitches. Airplane lighting is supplied by Hella Aerospace GmbH. Air-conditioned cabin with Liebherr air management system.

Bombardier CRJ1000 has the same two pilot flight deck configuration as the CRJ900. The flight deck is equipped with Rockwell Collins Pro Line 4 integrated avionics system, with six electronic flight systems and information systems (EFIS) and engine indication and crew warning systems (EICAS). The instrument panel has six cathode ray tubes 127mm × 178mm (5in × 7in).

The avionics suite also includes an upper-head guidance system for Dynamics HGS 2000 Flight, Rockwell Collins (AHRS) automatic canopy reference system, field impact avoidance system (Rockas Collins) and Rockwell Collins digital weather radar. Integrated avionics processor integrates flight management systems and autopilot. The windshield and cockpit side windows are equipped with an electric eraser system.

The price of the latest Bombardier CRJ1000 aircraft is US $ 49.5 Million in 2018. Airplane development was announced in February 2007 and in June 2009 Bombardier received firm orders for 64 Bombardier CRJ1000 and four options. The first customer was the French airline Brit Air, with 14 aircraft ordered, and the Italian airline MyAir, with 15 orders. However, Bombardier suspended MyAir's order in August 2009 due to airline finance problems.

Air Nostrum ordered 35 aircraft of the next generation Bombardier CRJ1000 in June 2009. Adria Airways booked one aircraft in January 2009 with one as an option. In July 2011 Bombardier had deposits of 36 Bombardier CRJ1000 aircraft, out of a total of 49 orders received for aircraft.
