Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner seats

Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner Seat Map

The American Airlines airline's Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner has a business class configuration consisting of one large cabin arranged in eight rows of back and forth 1-2 herringbone. There is no center seat at line 8, meaning there are 30 business class seats on the plane.

The premium economy class seat has an 11.5-inch flight entertainment screen installed. While bright and sharp from the seats, this screen is designed to fade when viewing from an angle, providing little privacy and reducing light pollution in the cabin. Even though they certainly give you more space than in the economy, this is not the most extensive chair. The space between them is 38 inches, and your work space shrinks significantly when the passenger in front of you is lying down.

At the 787-9 Dreamliner, American Airlines has 36 Extra Main Cabin seats - 12 bulkhead seats, 6 emergency seats and 18 standard seats in settings 3-3-3. The bulkhead seat provides plenty of knee space, but limits your ability to stretch your legs. The first economic line has a bassinet holder in the window and center.

The America Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner has 200 seats in the economy standard class. This chair is installed with a distance of 31 inches. As is now the de facto standard on Boeing 787 Dreamliners, the economy cabin is set with seating from 3-3-3.

Since receiving its first Boeing 787 shipment in January 2015, American Airlines has added a fleet of nearly one Dreamliner per month. This is scheduled to bring eight more into the fleet in 2018-2019 before starting to receive delivery of orders for 47 aircraft. In total, American Airlines will have 89 Dreamliners (42 of the smaller 787-8 models and 47 of the 787-9 Dreamliners).
